At ABRSM we are all deeply saddened to learn of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

As our Patron, Her Majesty’s support has always been very highly valued and we have been immensely grateful for her patronage.

The Queen’s long association with our organisation has been a source of inspiration and pride for the whole ABRSM community which encompasses staff, examiners, volunteers in the UK and Ireland, and our international representatives based in countries around the world.  For the many millions of candidates who have taken our music exams during her reign, the Queen’s patronage has helped to ensure that their musical achievements receive the recognition they deserve, and made their musical successes even more special.

Along with so many organisations that have been honoured to have the Queen as Patron we will feel her loss greatly. We send our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to the Royal Family at this difficult time.
